SPACE supports Pink October

SPACE is committed to promoting the role of women in agriculture
Portraits of Women Farmers in Every Hall of the Show

Over the summer, photographer Jérôme Peltan traveled across Brittany to capture striking portraits of women farmers. These portraits will be displayed in every hall, showcasing the role and importance of women in agriculture. Each farmer has been photographed in connection with her production, reflecting the theme of the hall where her portrait will be exhibited.

Every photo will also be accompanied by key facts: 34% of new farm setups are led by women, 1976 marked the introduction of maternity leave for women farmers, 2010 was the year when the creation of a GAEC between spouses became possible… and many other milestones.

Take a tour through SPACE to discover this inspiring spotlight and the powerful messages it conveys!

A Pink October Corner in the junction of Halls 7-8

As one in eight women will be affected by breast cancer during her lifetime, SPACE wanted to give visibility to prevention and awareness against breast cancer. The Ille-et-Vilaine Committee of the Cancer League is providing documentation to enrich this area and share as much information as possible. Visitors will find posters, awareness quizzes, flyers on their missions and possible support services, pink ribbons…
