MATERNEO 4.0 is a precision feeding system for sows in maternity pens, developed by ASSERVA. This system replaces theoretical feed plans with dynamic, individual adjustments. The feeding is controlled in real time based on the sow's behavior, actual consumption, and intake capacity. The system integrates automated piglet weighing to measure growth rates. This weight change of the litter serves as a direct indicator to correct nutritional inputs before visible losses occur. MATERNEO 4.0 combines three modules: individualized distribution in fractionated doses, animal performance measurement, and a nutritional algorithm. The objective is twofold: maximizing the average daily gain of piglets during this critical phase, and preserving the sow's body condition to optimize recovery and future reproductive performance. Each pen becomes an autonomous decision-making unit driven by data.
