Spanning 250 m², Hall 6: Entertainment, Round-table Discussions – Workshop
Organised by SPACE and the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture, the ‘Espace pour Demain’ remains the unmissable event at the Livestock Show for gaining an understanding of the major challenges of the future. This year, several thousand visitors will be able to discover practical solutions, watch demonstrations and talk to more than 30 experts and professionals from the agricultural sector. A dynamic and forward-looking space to understand, discuss and take action on the theme for 2026.

WATER… the source of livestock farming!

Today, farmers are fully mobilized to meet several major challenges: ensuring food security and sovereignty, supporting climate and energy transitions, preserving biodiversity and sustainably managing natural resources. 

In this context, water is a key issue, affecting all agricultural production and determining the resilience of farms as well as territories.

An opportunity for agriculture

The climatic events observed in recent years have highlighted the vulnerability of many regions, including Brittany, to this strategic resource. The year 2022, marked by temperatures exceeding 40°C, a significant rainfall deficit, and major strains on water supply, illustrated the scale of the challenges to be met.

In addition to the historical issues related to water quality, there are now major quantitative challenges, in a context of changing uses and intensification of climatic hazards.

The Exhibition Area

Technical demonstrations, backed up by real-life accounts from farmers, will showcase innovative equipment and practical solutions focusing on optimising water use in livestock farming, rainwater harvesting, watering management, the adaptation of production systems, and the cultivation of crops for animal feed.
The Expert Workshops Area
Throughout the exhibition, various experts will lead workshops to explore complementary topics in greater depth: water use and robotic milking, the adaptation of forage crops to climate change, technical innovations and future developments in farming practices.
The Forum Area
Three panel discussions will help to stimulate discussion on water management issues and the solutions we need to develop collectively for the future.
