Spanning 250 m², Hall 6: Entertainment, Round-table Discussions – Workshop
Organised by SPACE and the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture, the ‘Espace pour Demain’ remains the unmissable event at the Livestock Show for gaining an understanding of the major challenges of the future. This year, several thousand visitors will be able to discover practical solutions, watch demonstrations and talk to more than 30 experts and professionals from the agricultural sector. A dynamic and forward-looking space to understand, discuss and take action on the theme for 2026.

Aujourd’hui, les agriculteurs sont pleinement mobilisés pour répondre à plusieurs défis majeurs : assurer la sécurité et la souveraineté alimentaires, accompagner les transitions climatique et énergétique, préserver la biodiversité et gérer durablement les ressources naturelles. 

Dans ce contexte, l’eau constitue un enjeu essentiel, qui concerne l’ensemble des productions agricoles et conditionne la résilience des exploitations comme celle des territoires.

An opportunity for agriculture

Les épisodes climatiques observés ces dernières années ont mis en évidence la vulnérabilité de nombreuses régions, y compris la Bretagne, face à cette ressource stratégique. L’année 2022, marquée par des températures dépassant les 40 °C, une pluviométrie fortement déficitaire et d’importantes tensions sur l’approvisionnement en eau, ont illustré l’ampleur des défis à relever. 

Aux enjeux historiques liés à la qualité de l’eau s’ajoutent désormais des enjeux quantitatifs majeurs, dans un contexte d’évolution des usages et d’intensification des aléas climatiques.

The Exhibition Area

Technical demonstrations, backed up by real-life accounts from farmers, will showcase innovative equipment and practical solutions focusing on optimising water use in livestock farming, rainwater harvesting, watering management, the adaptation of production systems, and the cultivation of crops for animal feed.
The Expert Workshops Area
Throughout the exhibition, various experts will lead workshops to explore complementary topics in greater depth: water use and robotic milking, the adaptation of forage crops to climate change, technical innovations and future developments in farming practices.
The Forum Area
Three panel discussions will help to stimulate discussion on water management issues and the solutions we need to develop collectively for the future.
