In a context of climate change and growing pressure on water resources, the SPACE exhibition and the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture have chosen to dedicate “The Space for Tomorrow” to sustainable water management, a strategic issue for the future of agricultural sectors and rural communities.

Today, farmers are fully committed to addressing several major challenges: ensuring food security and food sovereignty, supporting climate and energy transitions, preserving biodiversity, and sustainably managing natural resources.In this context, water is a critical issue that affects all agricultural production systems and plays a key role in determining the resilience of both farms and the territories in which they operate.

An opportunity for agriculture

The agricultural sector is no exception. Farms generate vast amounts of data, often shared with technical and economic partners. When used wisely and based on reliable databases, AI can contribute to highly precise, more efficient, more sustainable, and more autonomous farming.

However, its use must be regulated to prevent these technologies from being controlled by monopolies or unaccountable players. AI must be inclusive, ethical, and trustworthy to accelerate its adoption in the agricultural sector.

Technical demonstrations, supported by real-life farmer testimonials, will showcase innovative equipment and practical solutions focused on optimizing water use in livestock farming, rainwater harvesting, drinking water management for animals, adaptation of production systems, and the management of crops intended for animal feed.
Expert Area

Throughout the exhibition, a range of experts will lead workshop sessions to explore complementary topics in greater depth, including water use in robotic milking systems, the adaptation of forage species to climate change, technical innovations, and future developments in farming practices.
Forum Area

Three panel discussions will foster dialogue on water management challenges and the solutions that need to be developed collectively to ensure a sustainable future.
