Présentation: UCAEP – Union of Chambers of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Comoros

The UCAEP is the organization that brings together the Chambers of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries from the three islands of the Union of the Comoros. It represents stakeholders in rural sectors — farmers, livestock producers, fishers, and processors — through a collective approach aimed at sustainable development and modernization of Comorian agri-food value chains.

Its role is to coordinate the actions of the island chambers, defend the professional interests of the agricultural, poultry, and fisheries sectors, and support producers in improving their economic, social, and environmental performance.

🎯 Main missions of UCAEP:

- Represent the agricultural, poultry, and fisheries sectors before national authorities and technical and financial partners

- Strengthen producers’ capacities through training, advisory services, and technical support

- Promote sustainable farming and livestock practices adapted to island contexts

- Enhance local production and encourage food self-sufficiency in the Comoros
