The app for pig farmers designed to organize farrowing assistance
FarroWin® is a mobile decision-support application developed by Rezoolution Pig Consulting Services. It enables pig farmers to identify sows at risk of stillbirth within their herd and to implement preventive measures in advance, in collaboration with their technical advisors. FarroWin® predicts the stillbirth rate of a sow based on her parity, performance during the previous farrowing (total born, number of stillborn piglets), and backfat thickness before farrowing. One key advantage of the app is that it only uses data that are easy and quick to collect on-farm. Data entry is intuitive, and the farmer is guided step-by-step through the process. Then, the app generates a summary report with the predicted stillbirth rate for each sow and each batch. Once sows are identified, management and monitoring efforts can be focused on these animals. By facilitating early risk detection, FarroWin® enables farmers to take timely and effective preventive action to enhance farrowing conditions.
