DELTEX slurry pit cover system
Until now, no system was available to cover pits with geomembrane. The system allows pits to be covered with geomembrane and provides considerable advantages in covering concrete pits. It consists of a stainless steel tube tower placed in the center of the pit, inside which a turbine is positioned 40 cm from the bottom of the pit and driven by an electric gear motor placed 150 cm above the maximum level of the slurry. At the top of the tower, return pulleys are fixed to gather the DELTEX cables that start from the periphery of the pit and form a canopy over which a tarpaulin is stretched and fixed to the periphery of the pit. This canopy, with a 20% slope, allows rainwater to drain away. The mixing of the slurry is programmed by a device installed inside an electrical box placed a few meters from the pit and is done automatically 30 minutes per week without human intervention.
