Veterinary teleconsultation platform
In many regions, farmers struggle to access a veterinarian within timeframes compatible with the needs of sick animals. Veterinary practice in sparsely covered territories is hindered by vast areas to cover, at the cost of long travels. Animal welfare suffers.
VetLinkPlatform, stemming from the 5G4Agri project, is a telemedicine solution adapted to these realities. It supports farmers and veterinarians at each stage: preparation of the video consultation with data sharing, implementation, then interconnection with professional tools to write a prescription. The veterinarian's connected equipment (stethoscope, ultrasound, smart glasses) and farm sensors (embedded or installed) transmit relevant data. 4G/5G compatibility ensures smooth transmission. It also enables connection between veterinarians to consult an expert or support a young practitioner.
By complementing care offerings, VetLinkPlatform limits travel and contributes to animal welfare.
