Information

Business diversification is central to today’s evolving agricultural world. Processing and marketing farm products is a valuable lever to help farmers gain control over their pricing and raise consumer awareness.
We will explore the following topics and challenges, supported by testimonials from men and women representing various agricultural sectors:
  • The rewards and challenges of being a farmer and a processor
  • Agricultural diversification as a sustainable economic model
  • Managing time and technical skills
  • The importance of joining local      networks and collective initiatives
Speakers:
  • Chloé Barbelette – Apprentice      at La Ferme de la Rondaie in Val Couesnon (Ille-et-Vilaine, 35), a      farm offering a wide range of pork and charcuterie products, sold both      on-site and primarily at local markets. Chloé is preparing to take      over the family farm.
  • Cyril Herbert – Dairy farmer at      Le Bio d’Orange, with direct sales of meat boxes and on-site      processing. He is also President of JA35 (Young Farmers’ Association) and      a member of the Chamber of Agriculture.
  • Marjolaine Lefeuvre – Manager      of La Crémerie de Brocéliande in Talensac, offering a wide range of      dairy products sold at the farm, in shops, and to collective catering      services. She also serves as an ambassador for the Terres de Sources      network.
  • Olivier and Jérémy Robert – Pig      and poultry producers in Janzé. Maison Robert also produces colza      and sunflower oil, Christmas trees, and runs agritourism activities (event      room, unique farm accommodations). Jérémy is currently in training with a      plan to settle on the family farm.
  • Sidonie Dozoul – Short supply      chain advisor and facilitator for the "Bienvenue à la ferme"      (Welcome to the Farm) network.
