FEED DENSITY INDICATOR

The aim is to provide every farmer at every delivery with a density indicator for the feed for his pregnant and lactating sows, based on the density of the raw materials used in each formulation and on the processing parameters for the products (milling, granulation).

Benefits:

  • Technical: increased accuracy of adjustment for pre-measured and continuous dispenser feed systems, particularly relevant for the new welfare standards, improved control of the amount of sow feed actually dispensed throughout the year (effects of formulation / season / product presentation).
  • Convenience and practicality: the density value for the product supplied is stated on the product label for each delivery.
  • Financial: the density of a finished product like soin/ feed can vary from 5 to 15%. A discrepancy in density of 40g/L (8%) during pregnancy can represent a deficit of 60kg of feed consumed/sow/year (or 240g/day/sow). The even quality of the feed dispensed can improve the matrix of the farm's overall index.

Nutritional additive

This new phytase is used in diets for pigs and all poultry. Its main advantage lies in the fact that it releases 25% more phosphorus than other phytases on the market. RONOZYME HiPhos also releases other nutrients: the quick action of RONOZYME HiPhos in the stomach allows it to reduce the amount of phytate arriving at the small intestine. At this increasing pH, phytates are combined with nutrients such as calcium, amino acids and other trace elements on arrival in the small intestine. And trapped by the phytates, these nutrients are not absorbed or so used by the animal.

With RONOZYME. HiPhos, amino acids, calcium and trace elements are much less trapped by the phytates, since they arrive in less quantity in the small intestine. Several studies show an improvement in the ileal digestibility of amino acids, calcium, etc.

This high efficiency of RONOZYME HiPhos may allow a gain of about 2 €/T of food through higher digestibility of phytatephosphorus, less use of inorganic phosphate and calcium and amino acids recoveries. Finally, RONOZYME HiPhos(GT) is highly thermostable and provides maximum security for workers thanks to the total absence of dust.

Award-winner testimony : In a few years, RONOZYM® Hiphos has become the world leader.
Since 5 years, DSM supports its customers towards a better use of RONOZYME® HIPHOS with a field survey. The aim is to define the strategy to adopt to avoid the side effects.
But the key point is to remember the reason why phytase is used. Beyond economic interests, it is also to participate in a more sustainable production. RONOZYME® HIPHOS, mixed with the feed, helps reduce the phosphorus requirement of 1.1 ton of phosphates equivalent for 1 million of chicken, it reduces emissions of greenhouse gases of 31 tons of CO2 equivalent and the phosphorus discharge in the ground of 40%. RONOZYME® HIPHOS is still an appropriate choice, adapted to today's production challenges.

Antimycotoxin additive

In 2013 out of 3931 samples analyzed worldwide by our laboratories 63% were contaminated with deoxynivalenol (DON) (94% in France). Especially in swine production, this mycotoxin negatively impacts intestinal health and is causing big losses for the farmers.

Biomin BBSH 797 is the first and only microorganism authorized in Europe as a substance for reduction of the contamination of feed by deoxynivalenol (technological feed additives). Biomin BBSH 797 produces a specific enzyme, so-called de-epoxidases, that bio transform the toxic deoxynivalenol in the gastrointestinal tract of the animal to a non-toxic metabolite. Biotransformation, through enzymatic deactivation, offers a specific, irreversible, and environmentally friendly way of detoxification that leaves neither toxic residues nor any undesired by-products.

Biomin BBSH 797 is a five, Gram+, strictly anaerobic bacteria, belonging to the family of Coriobacteriaceae. Due to its natural characteristics Biomin BBSH 797 is completely adapted to the environment in the gastrointestinal tract of pigs.
